More Information about MOTOWN The Musical Tickets

The hit West End production of Motown the Musical is celebrating its second birthday at the Shaftesbury Theatre and announces that from 6 March 2018 the West End cast will be led by Jay Perry (S Club Juniors) as Berry Gordy, Natalie Kassanga as Diana Ross and Carl Spencer as Marvin Gaye.

Currently booking until 5 January 2019, Motown the Musical, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, tells the story behind the legendary classic hits.

In 1959, with nothing but a dream in his heart and an $800 family loan in his pocket, Berry Gordy left his job on a car production line and set about building his own factory for music.

From The Supremes to The Jackson 5, to Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gaye, that factory invented the sound of young America, made its musicians into stars, and produced countless Number One hits worldwide. They said it couldn't be done, but Berry knew that with a little drive, you can go anywhere. And, boy, could he pick a tune.

Featuring over 50 classic Motown hits including 'My Girl', 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', and 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the West End sensation that will have you 'Dancing In The Street'.

42nd Street

A £1.20 restoration levy (collected on behalf of the theatre) appears as part of the face value.
